Clarion Events is committed to reducing our environmental impact and working towards becoming net zero by 2045. To deliver more sustainable events, we are focusing on areas such as carbon emissions, event waste management, supply chain sustainability, and social and economic impact.
The events industry involves a complex mix of stakeholders, and collaboration on sustainability is key to achieving net zero emissions more quickly. Our choices affect the environment and the communities in which we operate. Therefore, to encourage further cooperation, we have also created Exhibitor Sustainability Guidance highlighting sustainable considerations that can be followed when planning exhibitions.
At the conclusion of the show, exhibitors have the opportunity to donate leftover, end-of-life, or surplus items to a local organization. This year, the Smoky Mountain Gift Show is proud to partner with Sevier County Food Ministries in Gatlinburg, TN. Donations will be sold through their Thrift Store, with all proceeds used to purchase food for local families in need. By partnering with Sevier County Food Ministries, we’re not only helping reduce waste but also supporting the community and those who rely on this vital service.
The Smoky Mountain Gift Show has called the Smoky Mountains home for the last 59 years, and the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has deeply impacted us all. In response, Clarion is proud to partner with Mountain Ways for this year’s show.
Mountain Ways is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing ongoing disaster relief, working with local organizations and officials to ensure essential resources reach the most affected areas efficiently. Support relief and recovery efforts in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and the Greater Appalachian Region. 100% of donations will directly help victims of this disaster.
